This paper analyzes the extent to which the biophysical context of deltas contributes to the sustainability of different economic activities. The study uses a set of environmental-extended multiregional input-output (IO) databases used to trace the flow of provisioning ecosystem services across supply chains. Results can demonstrate linkages between the biophysical environment and economic activities. Within the DEltas, vulnerability, and Climate Change: Migration and Adaptation (DECCMA) scenario, a Computable General Equilibrium model is developed for different scenarios. Deltas are especially vulnerable to climate change given low-lying exposure to storm surges, coastal and fluvial flooding, sea level rise and subsidence.en
