This study provides a pilot assessment of vulnerability to heat exposure in a rural context during the peak summer months (2016) with a focus on indoor and outdoor temperatures. Due to the rise in average global temperatures, the risk of morbidity and mortality related to heat stress will continue to increase and become a growing issue in India. Most epidemiological studies on heat and health rely on meteorological data from standardized weather stations that do not adequately reflect exposure to heat, for example inside houses, or the landscape characteristics of a location.en
