Abstract
The report provides a brief introduction to the civil registration and vital statistics (CRVS) systems in Liberia. The information was collected through a questionnaire completed by the Ministry of Health in January 2019 and supplemented by a desk review of available documents. According to the Vital and Health Statistics Department of the Ministry of Health, about 546,000 or 75 per cent of births (2018) were not registered in Liberia. The civil registration and vital statistics systems in Liberia are not integrated among themselves or with other sectors.
