dc.description.abstractThe project generated knowledge in an area where research is very scarce worldwide, i.e. the links between innovation and productivity in services; moreover it generated unique evidence for developing countries where the research on this topic is almost inexistent. The main objective was to generate a comparative analysis on determinants of innovation in service sector firms, and on the impact of different kinds of private-public interventions in service innovation in LAC countries. The impact of technological innovation is greater in manufacturing than in services; however, the impact of non-technological innovation is more important for service firms.en
