Gender sensitive research takes into account gender as a significant variable in social science studies. Men and women have different roles, which impact differently on the environment and development. The purpose was to give social science researchers a framework for thinking through how gender and/or sex might be integrated into their research designs. The participatory workshop modules were: Feminism and Science; Gender Analysis Frameworks; Gender Relations and Social Science Research; Gender-Sensitive Indicators; and How to Engender Social Science Research. As well, this report describes other outputs resulting from the course including researcher networks, teaching materials, and team work.en
