Frameworks for indicators that measure sustainable production at firm level are reviewed. Four major initiatives in this direction are: Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), International Organization for Standardization ISO 14031, World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), and Sustainability Matrices of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE). The paper identifies the need for amalgamating all different sets of indicators into a single set of indicators which would allow comparison across micro enterprises.en
