dc.description.abstractThe workshop was organized by Asian Partnership on Emerging Infectious Disease Research (APEIR) to develop ideas and an action plan for a Field Building Leadership Initiative (FBLI) and for mapping the ecohealth field in Asia. It was a benchmark event in the proposal development process. The workshop discussed the potential for structuring some field-building activities around events: either major events that are scheduled to take place in the region (the most important being the CHORDS/Prince Mahidol Awards Conference on Surveillance and the Kunming IAEH Conference) or smaller events that APEIR and partners might organize.en
