dc.description.abstractThis report is a comprehensive review of the Real-Time Biosurveillance Program (RTBP), which was a multi-partner initiative to study the potential for new Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) towards improvement of early detection and notification of disease outbreaks in selected regions of Sri Lanka and India. Appendices include mHealth software use and specifications, standard operating procedures, as well as guides for implementation, loading of datasets, and a how-to for messaging systems. New ICTs are an important means for improved disease detection and notification via digital capacity enhanced gathering, analyzing, and reporting on data from multiple locations.en
