Abstract
The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) conducts on-going research worldwide in order to study and analyze relationships that exist between entrepreneurship and national economic development. More than 60% of the Caribbean people surveyed consider they are able to identify opportunities and have the capabilities to create and manage a new business. However, many of the potential entrepreneurs are not developing entrepreneurial competences to the required level.
