In Mumbai, where ICT connectivity in India is greatest, the informal sector accounts for two-thirds of total employment. Structural equation software allows researchers to model relationships between variables pictorially and thereby understand the relationships of model variables more clearly. In SEM, all variables in the proposed model are simultaneously tested to assess the degree to which they are collectively consistent with the data. 231 women microentrepreneurs were sampled. Results show that the relationship between perceived empowerment, ICT access, and microenterprise growth holds some promise for programs with goals of poverty reduction and greater empowerment of women.en
