This paper provides a demographic analysis of Chinese communities in Canada. Chinese people are concentrated in major cities such as Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and more recently, Calgary. As China increasingly becomes a global economic powerhouse and the biggest recipient of foreign direct investment, more than 90 percent of the top 500 multinationals have set up in China, and 30 percent of those have established regional headquarters there. Canadian businesses are active in China, and there are increasing numbers of native-born and naturalized Canadian executives, engineers and other professionals and specialists working in China.en
