This research studies the prevalence rate of entrepreneurship in Lebanon with regards to demographic variables including gender, household income, region, age group, and education level. The aim of the Lebanon research team is to use study findings to encourage policy changes that will promote entrepreneurship, to provide women with more opportunities in entrepreneurship, and to encourage nascent businesses to be more socially oriented. With regards to sector distribution a majority of businesses are involved in retail trade, hotels and restaurants with few involved in government, health, education and social services.en
