dc.description.abstract | This policy brief reviews conditions and benefits of regional trade agreements (RTAs) for Cambodia’s economic growth. While regional cooperation is a necessary condition for growth, it is not sufficient. There is a need to develop greater understanding about regional cooperation frameworks among private sector actors and to motivate them to engage in regional cooperation processes. Policy interventions can range from improved trade-related hardware infrastructure to better border management. Countries in the region were engaged in 143 bilateral, sub-regional, regional (RTA) or global free trade agreements (FTAs) and were negotiating a further 84 FTAs (2013). | en |
