Results from three years work include policies benefiting poor rural communities in the region, including the Law of Land and Rural Development in Colombia, the Development Strategy for the Coastal Areas in El Salvador, and the Strategy for Rural Well-being in Ecuador. Results also demonstrate that public-policy rural dialogue groups (RDG) provide a mechanism enabling diverse sectors to participate in and connect with public agendas, adding input into design and implementation of public policies. Additionally, RDG proves to be an effective tool for organizations such as the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) to highlight priority issues in national political agendas.en
