dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this brief is to systematize some evolving discussions regarding monitoring and evaluation approaches, from a theoretical perspective in some instances, and in others from practice. The logical framework approach (LFA) is often seen as sharing elements that characterize “traditional evaluation,” while Outcome Mapping (OM) leans towards elements that characterize “developmental evaluation.” This material is largely based on the document entitled “From Programme Management to Development Programmes: Comparative Study of Results-Based Management-Outcome Mapping” (Ortiz, 2004).en
