dc.description.abstractSometimes referred to as a global “youth crisis” there is widespread failure to protect and promote the fundamental rights of young people. This report consists of an overview of a three-year research project that examined the social ecology of youth social capital formation in El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Canada. It provides a synopsis of three case studies, drawn from detailed technical reports submitted by each research team; discussion of the differentiated effects of the ecological dimensions of youth social capital; and highlights commonalities of youth social capital formation along with policy and program implications arising from the research.en
