Making cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable is a priority identified in the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals #11. The focus of the current IDRC Climate Change Program (2015-2020) supports research to help cities increase their resilience to the impacts of climate change through demand-driven and policy-relevant research. This paper reports on new research projects under four general themes: 1) Improving Basic Urban Services in the Context of Climate Change 2) Building Resiliencies 3) Promoting Dialogue for Fruitful Partnerships and Governance 4) Fostering Gender Equity in the Built Environment.en
