| dc.description.abstract | Radio can act as an information and knowledge broker, able to pass on information about value chains to their listeners. This introduction is written to help broadcasters understand how agricultural value chains work. It defines some key terms, gives examples of agricultural value chains, and discusses why it’s important that farmers think of themselves as part of an agricultural value chain. Analyzing a value chain – identifying challenges, weaknesses, and strengths – can also help identify new income-generating opportunities for farmers. The broadcaster role is to present information along with the potential benefits of value chains for small-scale farmers. | en |
