| dc.description.abstract | Collaboration between affirmative regulation and the electoral system is becoming more important in guaranteeing women’s representation in parliament. The majority of countries with women’s representation rate of 30% or over have a proportional electoral system in collaboration with affirmative action, in particular with minimum quota regulation and alternate or zipper system. Moreover affirmative action in the form of an alternating system between male and female candidates is also needed. Observing the political situation in Indonesia where political parties still have powerful influence in the political system, the list proportional system constitutes a policy that’s the most relevant to use. | en |
