Abstract

Activities, outputs and outcomes of the project are detailed in this report. Evaluating regulation on food labelling and food marketing to children was pivotal for informing health and dietary policies at the local, regional and global level. The project assessed the impact of regulations (labelling; restrictions on child-targeted marketing; prohibition of sales of unhealthy foods in schools; tax increase on sugar-sweetened beverages) aimed towards a healthier food environment, implemented in Chile to halt the ongoing obesity epidemic.
