dc.description.abstractThe advisory presents potential options for MAM season (March to May) of 2010. Management options for farmers under different seasons were identified. It aims to support farm level decision making in Mwingi area while planning agricultural operations for the 2010 Long Rain Season. Applicability to other areas depends on the similarities in soil and climatic conditions. This brochure/ advisory was derived from research and extension staff representing representing Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD), Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI), International Crops Research Institute for Semi-arid Tropics (ICRISAT), and University of Nairobi (UoN) and Agricultural Extension Department of the Ministry of Agriculture.en
