This paper synthesises the findings from analysis of 6 projects in the Canadian International Food Security Research Fund (CIFSRF) Phase 2. It provides an evaluation of the projects and assesses their impact on food security; considers to what extent the CIFSRF projects have contributed to observed and potential results and impacts; and to what extent the activities and gains initiated are likely to be sustained and scaled up. The projects were largely successful, addressing relevant issues, focusing mainly on increasing food availability in pursuit of remedying dietary deficits in minerals, protein and vitamins. The complexities of scaling up are discussed.en
