dc.description.abstractThe nutritional status of Caribbean children has not been well studied. Does overweight and childhood obesity co-exist with the problem of under-nutrition? With the large buying power of the school meals program, decreasing reliance on imported foods is important to agricultural production as well as child nutrition. Providing local produce to children to improve their health and could also enhance local markets for farmer produce. To provide better nutritional education among primary school aged children and their households, eight instructional videos were also developed on six Caribbean Food groups, food labels and school gardening.en
