This brief proposes a co-design approach to using a new “digital multiplier” model for teacher professional development (TPD). This will involve a blending of capacities: the capability of technology to operate on large scale, and the expertise of professionals who can adapt generic principles to local conditions. For instance, large-scale massive open online courses or MOOCs would provide TPD directly to local teachers, supported through local face-to-face (f2f) groups. This could multiply up to 250,000 teachers being taught through effective uses of technology. The brief explains how the new model will work.en
