dc.description.abstractESSENCE on Health Research is an initiative between funding agencies to improve the coordination and harmonization of research-capacity investments. Research costing is a major challenge for institutions in low- to medium-income countries (LMICs) that are seeking to develop and maintain sustainable research environments. This document highlights current practices and provides examples that can be used by institutions in LMICs which are in the process of trying to understand their research costs, and which seek to engage with funding organizations to meet their funding requirements.en
