The project sought to improve governance of health systems in Guatemala, by designing and implementing a participatory process to monitor public health policies and health care inequities at a municipal level. Workshops engaged various communities regarding their right to health and participation in health systems. Knowledge translation strategies and activities aimed to further increase numbers of end-users of the evidence, tools and approaches developed by the project which included town hall meetings, educational newsletters and dissemination workshops. The general public was reached through radio programs; decision-makers and academics were reached through several policy-briefs.en
