dc.description.abstractMalaysia has introduced a range of incentives schemes aimed at encouraging more firms, both local and foreign to engage in innovation-related activities as part of the government’s overall policy mix to boost the nation’s science, technology and innovation (STI) capabilities. The report provides a partial snapshot of the innovation financing landscape and some recommendations to enhance the management of innovation in the public sector. A clear roadmap for financing innovation based on sectors and technologies with well-defined priority targets is greatly lacking.en
