| dc.description.abstract | This applied research project was implemented by ANERA, in coordination with Ministry of Agriculture and five main NGO's, during the period March 2012-September 2013 in the West Bank. The research's overall objective was to contribute to maximizing the utilization of reclaimed mountainous land through sharing farmers' knowledge amongst their peers. The objective was carried out specifically through comparing between five knowledge sharing methods according to farmers' preferences. Activities included documentation of farmers' knowledge and success stories, exposing 95 selected farmers to documented knowledge by using the five methods, and evaluating the preference of farmers and reaction to different methods. Evaluation was conducted using pair wise ranking, direct matrix ranking and surveying all farmers. The project included participation of main stakeholders in agriculture led by the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture. Representatives of partners formed a community of practice in knowledge management. The project team produced (19) short videos totaling 135 minutes. All videos were uploaded on Youtube, where they form an intellectual asset for Palestinian agriculture. All videos were shared on the project's Facebook page created for this purpose. | en |
