Thirty common animal diseases with their geographic regions are examined in this report. Ecohealth (Ecosystem Approaches to Health) has been developed over decades by networks of researchers and Communities of Practice. The tendency remains for health-related organizations to revert to a relatively simple animal-human dyad, rather than considering the roots of human well-being and the dynamics of complex ecological systems. Even so, the case studies represented here are steps in the right direction. The document was prepared by Veterinarians without Borders, a Canadian charitable, secular veterinary-based organization which works to foster the health of animals, people and their environments.en
