This three year project (2009 – 2012) enabled graduate students in African universities to carry out research on aspects of ICTs and development (ICT4D). All newly qualified PhD grantees are working in Africa-based institutions, actively engaged in ICT4D-related work and thereby enhancing ICT4D capacity of their respective institutions. The report analyzes attainment of project objectives according to evaluation criteria such as skill levels, mentorship, project management, dissemination of research and impacts at the institutional level. Annexes include profiles of all grantees and abstracts from their work.en
