The presentation examines the idea of Cuba as a unique incubator for the evolution of hybrid socially-oriented enterprise systems and practices at a national level, in ways that may be instructive for other countries. It argues for a platform of dialogue and information exchange between Cuban economists/government planners and Latin American practitioners of socially responsible investment and business (SRIB). The aim is to foster the growth of the social enterprise sector of the Cuban economy, and present activities and outcomes of the project.en
