The project has two linked components: capacity building in health evaluation and a health indicator system for a new round of health sector reform in China. However, as a latecomer to the field of health policy evaluation, there is no strong technical and organizational strength for training and relevant work in this field in China. As an outcome of this project, during the second and third Canada-China Health Policy Dialogue, the Canadian and Chinese Ministers of Health agreed that the project has demonstrated it is the best collaborative health project between the two nations to date.en
