Fundamental to the success of the Caribbean EcoHealth Programme (CEHP) mission has been its use of the Atlantis Mobile Laboratory (AML). The AML moves from one island to another after staying for a period of approximately eight to ten months. The CEHP program has addressed significant gaps in regional knowledge research that are of key importance to decision and policy makers. The CEHP’s five main research projects are: (1) Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs); (2) Burden of Illness studies for the testing of foodborne microorganisms; (3) Rainwater Harvesting study; (4) the Ecotoxicology Water studies, and (5) the Food Safety Training Program.en
