This research develops water demand (end-use) modelling and forecasting, and assesses water conservation and demand management potential for the city of Addis Ababa. Results show that 29.5% of water losses can be saved through implementation of the recommended water loss reduction programs. With the adoption and implementation of the program, the city of Addis Ababa could reduce future water demand by 66%. This plan includes replacing older or inefficient toilet fixtures and distributing low flow shower heads for residential use, finding and repairing water distribution system leakages, installing efficient toilets, and establishing water conservation pricing, as well as improving billing systems.en
