dc.description.abstract"New mechanisms for linking research and policy" supported a series of small research projects examining the use of online social networking services to link research and policy in Latin America. The most successful uses of Web 2.0 and online social networking in connecting research with policy were those that involved the public in campaigns and consultations. Less successful were those projects that focused on direct relationships between researchers, policymakers and other stakeholders. The report outlines project activities, outputs and outcomes. Research impact is difficult to measure. In this case the quick context analysis document and the Impact 2.0 iGuide was helpful.en
