This report identifies key unmet needs in the antiretroviral supply chain and places them in three main groups depending on where they appear in the supply chain: in the supply segment, in the demand segment, or in the delivery segment. Access to antiretrovirals is limited by the capacity in some countries for testing equipment, chemicals, and laboratory reagents— a chain that is far more complex than that for antiretrovirals. Scaling up antiretroviral treatment programs requires a systematic analysis of the supply chains for antiretrovirals and other goods related to HIV/AIDS.en
