Abstract
Mission 2011 promotes initiatives taken by private sector, NGOs, research institutions and other stakeholders for building various models of telecentres in Bangladesh, and in other developing countries, so that by 2011 all citizens of Bangladesh will have access to a telecentre. The roadmap for ‘every village a knowledge centre’ spelt out in Mission 2011 is very much a reality in the near future. Bangladesh Telecentre Networks vision is to have an inclusive knowledge society in Bangladesh, where poor and marginalized people have access to information and knowledge for improving their livelihood through the use of ICTs.
