Based on the experiences gained, a manual in Tamil and a hand book on nutrition for use by the Health Animators/Nutrition Volunteers has been prepared. To ensure impact on anaemia control, iron tablets should be made available on time without any break especially for adolescent girls. The school based nutrition education programme was found to be very effective in imparting knowledge to the adolescent girls.en
