The policy dialogue was convened in order to support a full discussion of relevant considerations including research evidence about this high-priority issue, and thus to inform action. The knowledge to policy (K2P) Policy Dialogue (2017) hosted 22 diverse stakeholders from multi-disciplinary backgrounds. Participants highlighted the importance of framing relevant harm reduction policies around the factor of “youth” rather than other broader societal factors. The dialogue resulted in participants forming an advocacy group to follow up on recommendations for program implementation at the school, family and community levels; along with implementation of alcohol harm reduction policies at the national level.en
