Abstract
A análise do material
indicou efeitos principalmente quanto à escuta clínica desses profissionais, mostrando a necessidade
de estudos mais aprofundados.
This work is a masters’ dissertation that aimed to understand and describe the effects on the training of psychiatric residents when they participated in groups composed of mentally disturbed patients whose treatment was based on AMM (Autonomous Medication Management) intervention. The hypothesis was that upon participating in the meetings, the residents would experience a new situation in which the patient’s word would begin to be interpreted in a different manner to in the residency curriculum, thus creating a mechanism capable of transforming their clinical practices. To verify these effects two focus groups were formed before and after the intervention groups, as well as individual interviews conducted after the group meetings. Analysis of the material indicated some effects mainly in relation to how these professionals listened to the patients, demonstrating the need for further studies.
