Data collection was carried out from July 2009 to July 2011, in two phases. The first phase focused on mapping the Sudanese population in Cairo, and preparing to conduct a door-to-door survey of Sudanese households, based on random sampling. The presentation provides information on challenges of working with a refugee population and appropriate research methodologies; mapping was part of the first phase of the project “Sudanese in Cairo (Egypt).”en
