dc.description.abstractThis study addresses young and high-growth enterprises in the MENA region as important drivers of change, job creation and stronger competition, analysing challenges and opportunities facing young enterprises and their owners. The report uses the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) database, including information on the MENA region. The creation and development of formal and informal firms in MENA is lower than in emerging economies. Fostering the development of business services could increase employment and create entrepreneurial opportunities for highly educated people.en
