The presentation measures changes in developing country researcher citations and connectivity. Findings show that internet search engines can be used to assess research capacity in a given field. Presence, quality and connectivity of telecom researchers have improved. A separate study is needed to identify key policy changes in selected countries, and anecdotal evidence related to contributions by CPRsouth members.
