By the end of the project two new vaccine candidates were evaluated in experimental settings. The results from these trials will determine if they are suitable for field trials or still require more development prior to field trials. We have utilized new technology that will benefit farmers, the economy and the private sector; this technology is unique allowing us to overcome a big challenge of thermal stability – the delivery of vaccines to remote areas. The general knowledge of livestock keepers about primary animal healthcare needs, must be upgraded before new vaccines can be introduced and made effective.en
