dc.description.abstractThe workshops carried out information sessions, seminars and participatory discussions in a total of eight districts to educate Ward Executive Officers, District Health Authority and traditional health practitioners on legal issues related to Traditional and Alternative Medicine in the country. The detailed plant information (50 pages) in this document is in the Kiswahili language. The enactment of Traditional and Alternative Medicine Act No.23 (2002) moved towards the promotion and development of traditional and alternative health services in Tanzania. The Traditional and Alternative Health Practice Council was established in 2005 and is a corporate body responsible for the implementation of the Act.en
