The report outlines the project design. One of the major tasks was to match the theoretical research design within the geographical and environmental setting of the Khulna region of Bangladesh. The salinity gradient/transect has been physically identified, as well as locating 5 distinct sub-sample peri-urban areas, on the basis of varying exposures to salinity intrusion. Sampling techniques, a draft questionnaire, and fieldwork activities are described.en
