As policies in Bangladesh are developed from a sectoral perspective, the environment is a complicated issue because it is cross-sectoral. There is a lack of awareness and citizen campaigns on the issue of electronic waste. There is no comprehensive e-waste policy, although it is briefly mentioned as an action item in the country's ICT policy. The study aims at creating a chart of different policies with a synopsis of ICTs and environmental issues. There is a need to develop a knowledge bank on best practices related to ICT usage and how they may be used to minimise environmental degradation.en
