dc.description.abstract | Objectives of the Peer Mentorship Program include developing research capacity and enhancing networks of participants. The program contributed to the professional development of thirty promising scholars, over half of them based in the South. Nearly all respondents (93%) indicated that participation in the program helped them develop their professional network, and 83% believed it helped them become a better researcher. The program, workshop, and conference structures are analyzed from the perspectives of both mentors and mentees. Increasing the time and volume of mentor/mentee interactions - before, during and after the conference - will enhance capacity building. | en |
