Abstract
Together with the support of the IDRC, the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) launched the Mathematical Sciences for Climate Resilience in Africa Project (MS4CR) to respond to climate change while also promoting more women in climate science. AIMS celebrated the International Day for Girls and Women in Science (2019) by launching a publication for women in climate science “New Interventions for a Changing World: Celebrating African Women Scientists on the Frontlines of Climate Change.” Climate change is the most significant global challenge of our time, and one that disproportionately affects African women and girls.
