Abstract

The objective is to improve educational policy, practice and research in developing countries by better understanding the use and impact of Open Educational Resources (OER). This PowerPoint presentation reviews alternatives to copyrighting practices, providing information and practical “how-to” steps for publishing research under Creative Commons licensing, as well as the proper use of existing research for creating OER. Additionally, slides review the legal aspects of sharing new and extant copyrighted information and promote the efficiencies of Creative Commons for researchers who wish to share their work.
